When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
A friend introduced me.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
Yes, these will be my first National Games.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
We did amazing. We were undefeated and won gold.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It is special being part of a team. I can help to achieve something that has not been done for Burnaby soccer. Also, I will have fun at the same time.
What is your goal for these National Games?
To do the best I can for the team and have fun, win or lose.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Going to Provincials for soccer.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I like our team play and communication.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
If you want be a part of a competitive sport that allows you compete at regional, provincial, national, and world levels, and you have an intellectual disability, then Special Olympics is for you.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I am an easy going person that likes to enjoy life and everything it has to offer me. Making new friends is one of my goals.
