When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I started with speedskating with Vancouver Velocity Speedskating Club and their Special Olympics program in 2023 season. I then started track and field in the summer of 2024. Since then i have started softball, swimming and tried cross country skiing, basketball and soccer with try-it days and look forward to doing more sports in the future.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
Yes this is my first, however I was invited to this years BC Winter Games for speedskating with Special Olympics, and won a silver and 4 bronze medals.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
In the summer games I won two gold, one silver and one bronze, out of 5 events and had a great time. I felt proud in what i did as it was my first real competition at this level.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
I've formed great friendships with competitors and teammates, and we cheer each other on and support each other.
What is your goal for these National Games?
I want to win at least one medal.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Winning 2 gold medals and standing on the podium at the BC Summer Games.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
The amount I have improved in track and field, from training with my coaches, and making new friends in the sport when I start racing.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
It's a lot of fun learning sports and you can make new friends.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I have a twin sister Rosy, we are competitive with each other. I like Pokémon and Minecraft education, I like listening to music and doing suduko or puzzle games.
