When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

Probably about 15 years ago or longer. I started going to 5 pin bowling, then I went to 10 pin bowling, bocce, club fit, and fit families and friends programs.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

Yes, it will be my first time going. I am really excited to meet new athletes from Canada, do my best, have fun, and learn new things.

What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I earned 3 medals. 2 Silver and 1 Bronze. I was very happy and proud.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?

I am very excited and happy to join Team BC.

What is your goal for these National Games?

Just to have fun and get a lot of spares and strikes.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

Being picked for competition and getting 3 medals at the BC Summer Games in 2025.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

It is fun. I have my own bowling ball and shoes.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?

You get to make new friends. I joined because it is a community of people who are the same as me.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I work at Starbucks. I will have been there 10 years as of this October. I am also in a few other regular bowling leagues outside of Special Olympics. I love hockey, coloring, jigsaw puzzles, and bowling.
