How has your life changed since getting involved with Special Olympics?

Improved confidence, able to be part of a team, comraderies.

How would you describe Special Olympics to someone who is thinking becoming and athlete or volunteer?

Special O is a great way to meet people, improve your health and challenge yourself.

What is your goal for Special Olympics Canada Summer Games Medicine Hat 2026?

To do my personal best, hopefully medal and meet new people.

What is your proudest moment with Special Olympics?

Winning 3 gold medals in the provincials in July 2025, 3 months after my dad died of cancer. He was my powerlifting coach and I dedicated my performance to him.

What does being a part of a team mean to you?

Supporting each other, learning from each other and learning cooperation.

How do you prepare mentally and/or physically for a big competition?

Lots of training, eating well, lots of rest.
