When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I got involved in 1998. I was recommended by a friend.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
No. I competed in Nova Scotia for swimming and London, ON and Vancouver, BC for track.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I did very well I won 3 Gold medals. I was very excited and happy.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It makes me feel very proud and happy to be part of the team.
What is your goal for these National Games?
I would love to win a medal, but I am happy to have qualified and be part of my team.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
My favourite experience was the 2011 Special Olympics World Games in Athens, Greece.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I love being with my teammates and meeting new athletes.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
It's so much fun and you make so many new friends.

I enjoy helping people and making new friends.
