When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

I got involved in Special Olympics around 17 years ago, a good friend got me interested in doing bowling, and I really loved bowling so I decided to play other sports, and you make friendships along the way. Special Olympics is like family to me.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

This is my first National games, I am looking forward to the experience, have fun make new friends and I am competing in softball.

What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?

My softball team won gold. I thought all my teammates played well on and off the field. We are a great team and this team has really stuck together.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?

Being part of team BC means to me to practice hard as a team, no matter what obstacles you face. I am a team player, and I am really looking forward to getting to the nationals and really be a a part of team BC 2026.

What is your goal for these National Games?

To hopefully win a medal and work hard as a team and be there for my teammates to high five them.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

Getting selected for my first National games.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

To be Part of a team in Softball.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?

Try one sport and you really make great friendships along the way.

I am a really nice person who encourage my teammates to do their personal best.
