When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics? 

Three years ago, I first got involved with supporting athletes at softball and that transpired into supporting athletes at bowling as well.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games were you part of and in what role(s)? 

Yes, this will be my first Special Olympics, and I’m extremely excited for them!!!

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you? 

Being part of a BIG FAMILY who all have the same goals in common with having our athletes being the best that they can be and supporting them while doing it!!

What is/are your goal(s) for National Games? 

To be the best coach/mentor/supporter of the athletes and meeting lots of new people.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date? 

The leadership summit at Zajac Ranch and meeting other coaches.

What does competing at National Games mean to your athletes? (Or, if this is your first National Games, competition in general) 

Striving to do their best!

What developments are you excited to see in your Team BC sport team leading up to National Games? 

Getting to know one another as a whole team.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved? 

You get so much enjoyment out of the joy of the athletes!!!
