When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

I was invited to check out Special Olympics Floor Hockey in 2011, and I signed up for four sports: Floor Hockey, 10-pin Bowling, Golf, and Track & Field.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

This is my first National Games.

What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I won a Gold Medal in Standing Long Jump, and Bronze Medals in Shot Put and Javelin. I felt great, and proud that I did well.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?

I am thrilled to be representing my Province.

What is your goal for these National Games?

I would like to hit personal bests in my events, and hopefully win medals.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

Winning medals at Provincial Games, and experiencing it all.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

The competitiveness, and the different events.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?

You can make new friends, everyone is friendly. There are many active sports.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I like to help people, and I am kind and caring. I can be funny too.
