When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I was about eight when I went to my first practice, and I fell in love with it.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
This will be my first Summer National Games, but my third National Games. In total, I have been to two Winter National Games.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I earned 1 Gold, 2 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It is great to compete in the sports that I love and to meet other athletes from all over.
What is your goal for these National Games?
To do well in all my races, win medals, get personal bests, and hopefully get to the Special Olympics World Games.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Definitely going into the Special Olympics World Games in Italy for winter cross country skiing.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
The exercise and the butterfly stroke.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
I would say it’s full of opportunities for your sports, it’s encouraging, and you get to meet a lot of people.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I won 2 Gold medals in the 2025 Special Olympics Winter World Games in the Italy.
