How has your life changed since getting involved with Special Olympics?

Being involved with Special Olympics has build my confidence and allowed me to play sports in a team environment.

How would you describe Special Olympics to someone who is thinking becoming and athlete or volunteer?

I would describe to someone thinking of joining Special Olympics to just do it! you will have fun , meet new people and feel welcomed.

What is your goal for Special Olympics Canada Summer Games Medicine Hat 2026?

My goal for Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Medicine Hat 2026- is to win Gold, get to travel with my team mates, play soccer and enjoy myself and have fun competing.

What is your proudest moment with Special Olympics?

My proudest Moment  with Special Olympics is  the opportunity i  get to have playing my favorite sports, being included in my Burnaby team, winning bronze in 2004 Abbotsford Summer games, the many trophies in different other sports, and many  ribbons!

What does being a part of a team mean to you?

Being part of a Team means i get to play with my friends, practice my skills, being included, and competing!

How do you prepare mentally and/or physically for a big competition?

 I prepare for a big competition  by practicing  my skills, watching sports, eating healthy, staying fit.
