When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I got involved with Special Olympics in 1996. I got involved through my dad's friend who used to be a cross country ski coach. I have competed in cross country skiing and swimming.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
This will be my 8th time at the Special Olympics National Games.

2018: Swimming
2020: Cross country skiing
2024: Cross country skiing
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I won Bronze in the 100m backstroke, Gold in the 100m medley, Silver in the 50m backstroke, and Silver in the 50m freestyle. The results were good.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It means been able to show off my skills and talents. It is the opportunity to represent BC.
What is your goal for these National Games?
My goal is to perform at my best and focus on my own personal bests. I will try my best to medal in my events.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
My favorite experiences were the competitions in different parts of the province and Canada.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I like that I will be able to perform at my best.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
You have the opportunity to make friends and stay active.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I do swimming, cycling, walking, running and cross country skiing. I volunteer with the Surrey Eagles looking after the entertainment called Spin the wheel, and at White Rock Baptist Church as a small group leader.
