When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I got involved with Special Olympics when I was 14. My first sport was soccer.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
No, I was the skip for BC's curling team at the 2024 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in Calgary.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I won the gold medal for golf in Prince George. I was very amazed and excited.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
I am proud to represent BC! I want to show others that I can do anything. I love the look on people's faces when I tell them I won a gold medal in golf!
What is your goal for these National Games?
Another gold medal and a trophy, of course.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
My gold medal in golf at the 2025 Special Olympics Summer Games in Prince George. My big brother was my caddy and it was great to win it together with him.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I like that golf is outside and that it is an individual sport. I love it when I make a nice shot.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
It's lots of fun and you make new friends. It is fun to compete and travel for competitions.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I am 26 years old. I graduated from Trinity Western University in 2024 with a Certificate of Completion with a concentration in business. I lived in the dorms for three years where I had lots of fun and made lots of friends. I love to go to concerts and being active in the community.
