When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
Eighteen years ago, I wanted to do powerlifting, so it took about three years to find Jordan to coach me.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
This will be my second Nationals for powerlifting.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I received the gold for my lifting - I was happy with my results.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It means I can show others that they can follow their dreams even with challenges to overcome.
What is your goal for these National Games?
Do my personal best.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Going to Germany as part of Team Canada.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
Being strong and healthy.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
It’s fun, rewarding and helps you meet new people.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I love all animals and anything to do with nature. I love swimming, biking and hiking as well as karate (green belt) and parkour. I am deeply spiritual and believe that all things are possible!
