When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics? 

I got involved in 2011 through the swimming program when I saw the Burnaby team at the Bonsor Recreation Center.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

No, this is my second National Games. My first was in 2018 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance? 

I won 5 Gold medals and 1 Silver in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games, and I felt proud of myself.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you? 

It is an accomplishment for me, and I feel proud representing Vancouver and BC.

What is your goal for these National Games? 

It is to win medals and to make it to Team Canada for the Special Olympics World Games in 2027.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date? 

Participating in the Hill Day 2025 in Ottawa, and the Sports Celebrity Event.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games? 

I like the strokes I do, and when I set best times, I feel proud. Also, I like cheering on my teammates during their races.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved? 

It is a good organization that help special needs individual like myself to participate and compete in sports.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I am a hard-working athlete and I enjoy travelling and meeting new friends.
