When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I saw it on the news about Special Olympics youth program, and I know that is what I want to get involved with. That was 2009.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games were you part of and in what role(s)?
This is my 2nd National Games being a mission staff for Team BC.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
Means I am very lucky to be part of this wonderful group of people to represent BC.
What is/are your goal(s) for National Games?
To make sure our Team will have a wonderful experience, I will be there to problem solve, to support and cheer.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Every time when I see my athletes smile and having a good time.
What does competing at National Games mean to your athletes? (Or, if this is your first National Games, competition in general)
Means their hard work has paid off, and they are continuing to train hard and focus to achieve their goals.
What developments are you excited to see in your Team BC sport team leading up to National Games?
Get to know more athletes and see the athletes grow as an athlete and as a person.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
Just come to one of practices and see how much fun they have and how hard they try, you will want to be part of that to enrich their lives and also your own.
