When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

I got involved with Special Olympics 4 years ago. I had just moved to Penticton and wanted to join some social groups. Bocce was a sport I had enjoyed in the past and I was happy to know it was available in Penticton.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

Yes, this is my first Special Olympics Canada Games.

What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?

Our team received Gold in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?

I feel proud to be part of the Special Olympics Team BC and represent our province.

What is your goal for these National Games?

I want to work hard and be a good team member in the hopes that we get to the next level.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

My favourite experience so far has been the training camp in Vancouver.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

I like playing outdoors. I like that we all have a turn in helping the team make points.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?

I would encourage someone to join because you get to meet new people and all of the coaches and helpers are very friendly.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I enjoy playing the piano and I like listening to music. I like to walk from my home to Okanagan Lake or to Skaha Lake. I work at Superstore 4-5 times a week.
