When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

My friends invited me to join back in 1985.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

No, it is my third Nationals. My first one was for golf at UBC in 2014, my second one was for floor hockey in Corner Brook in 2016.

What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I earned Gold medals.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?

I am proud to represent BC and Vancouver. Being part of Team BC means competing, but it is also an accomplishment itself.

What is your goal for these National Games?

Doing my best, having fun, and winning a medal.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

Getting my Golf gold medal from VPD Constable Dean Ret.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

I love to bowl 10-pin (since age 11).

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?

There are lots of supporting and caring people. There is also lots of having fun.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I am a friendly, outgoing, approachable person that people feel comfortable being around.
