When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I got involved in 2015 with the FUNdamentals, Active Start, and swimming programs. My brother is also a Special Olympics swimmer.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
Yes, in swimming.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It means I am ready for higher level competition, and I feel proud to represent Vancouver and BC.
What is your goal for these National Games?
I want to set best times in my events and get medals.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Being part of the Celebrity Sports Festival last October, 2025.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
That I can continue to learn and be better each time I race.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
It's a great community that helps people like me excel in sports and in life.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I am happy to be part of Team BC, eager to experience new things and travel, and excited to support other Team BC athletes.
