How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
Since 2019.
How has your life changed since getting involved with Special Olympics?
My life has changed since getting involved with Special Olympics because I have more opportunities to play sports. I am more social and more outgoing and have made some new friends.
How would you describe Special Olympics to someone who is thinking becoming and athlete or volunteer?
Special Olympics is a good place to play sports. The volunteers are really helpful to the athletes.
What is your goal for Special Olympics Canada Summer Games Medicine Hat 2026?
My goal for Special Olympics Canada Summer Games Medicine Hat 2026 is for our team to do the best they can and hopefully win. I also want to have a lot of fun and meet some new people.
What is your proudest moment with Special Olympics?
My proudest moment with Special Olympics was winning the gold medal with my basketball team at Provincial games in Prince George 2025.
What does being a part of a team mean to you?
Being a part of a team means meeting new people and working together to be active and have fun.
How do you prepare mentally and/or physically for a big competition?
I prepare for a big competition by working hard at practices and listening to the coaches. Before the game I like to listen to music and get my head in the zone.
