When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics? 

I started volunteering when I was asked to help cover the Head Coach’s maternity leave and I just never left!

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games were you part of and in what role(s)? 

This is my 2nd Special Olympics Nationals Games. I have also been to a Canada Summer Games.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you? 

Being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 means I get an opportunity to support athletes achieving there best on such a big stage.

What is/are your goal(s) for National Games?

My goals for National Games are to help everyone have the best time as they can!

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date? 

My favourite Special Olympics experience to date was watching my athletes hard work pay off at 2024 Provincials!

What does competing at National Games mean to your athletes? (Or, if this is your first National Games, competition in general) 

Competing at National Games gives our athletes the opportunity to compete on a big stage with high calibre competition.

What developments are you excited to see in your Team BC sport team leading up to National Games? 

I’m excited to see the athletes really dial it in leading up to National Games.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved? 

You won’t regret it! Just do it!
