When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I got involved in 2008. My community living worker told me about Special Olympics.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
Yes this is my first National Summer Games.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I won a Gold medal and I felt very happy and excited because it was my first Gold medal.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It is an honour to play for Team BC.
What is your goal for these National Games?
To do my best and to advance to my first Special Olympics World Games.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Making new friends and helping out other athletes.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I just really like to play bocce.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
That it is fun. You play sports at your own level and you can make a lot of friends.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I love to help and support other athletes, make friends and have fun.
