When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

A couple of my friends recommended that I join Special Olympics. I got involved three years ago.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

Yes, these will be my first Special Olympics Canada Games.

What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I earned Silver in co-ed soccer with Victoria. My performance was good, and I played good soccer, but my fitness and skills were not where I wanted them to be.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?

Special Olympics means so much to me. I have made new friends, and it is giving me the opportunity to play the game I love at a high level. It has been a dream of mine.

What is your goal for these National Games?

To win the Gold medal with my women's soccer team, and to enjoy this opportunity.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

My favourite experience has been going to Provincials in Prince George last summer. It was a great experience.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

I like playing with my new teammates and just playing the game of soccer.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?

It's a good way to make new friends and stay fit and healthy.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I lived in Australia for ten years. I have played soccer ever since I was a little girl. I have a Siberian husky named Joe.
