When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I got involved around 12 years ago through my daughter who is an athlete.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games were you part of and in what role(s)?
Yes, this will be my first Canada Games.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
I am very excited for the opportunity to work with our athletes and support them as they prepare.
What is/are your goal(s) for National Games?
I want to provide support to my athletes, and help them to have their best experience at Games.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
I love helping our athletes set and achieve their goals.
What does competing at National Games mean to your athletes? (Or, if this is your first National Games, competition in general)
My athletes are extremely excited to have this opportunity.
What developments are you excited to see in your Team BC sport team leading up to National Games?
I am looking forward to seeing their confidence and skills grow.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
Involvement in Special Olympics is a positive and rewarding experience. There is a place there for you!
