When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics? 

I joined Special Olympics in 1999. I started with 5 pin bowling and then moved to 10 pin. I love doing both.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports? 

No. I competed at the World Games in 2015 in Los Angeles, California for 10 pin bowling. I went to Charlottetown, PEI for Nationals in 2018, and then went to the World Games in Abu Dhabi in 2019 for 10 pin bowling.

What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance? 

I got 2 Silver and a Bronze. My performance was good and I got my average, so I was happy.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you? 

It means that I am around people on Team BC and it makes me proud to be on Team BC.

What is your goal for these National Games? 

I hope to bring Gold home, but I will be satisfied with whatever I get, even if it is Silver or Bronze.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date? 

I just know that the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games coming up in Medicine Hat, Alberta with Team BC will be my favourite. I will get to meet lots of friends.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games? 

I like 10 pin bowling because it gives me a chance to achieve my goal and meet other athletes as well.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved? 

Find out everything about Special Olympics and help out. We need more coaches as well as athletes.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you? 

I enjoy being around people and I am happy all time. I also read a lot of books. I will encourage the team and Team BC, and I am looking forward to going to Medicine Hat, Alberta.
