When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I have been participating with Special Olympics for 30 years
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
I competed at the 2014 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games for basketball and at the 2020 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games for snowshoeing.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
Our team received a Gold medal in Prince George for softball. It was a great time and our team did well.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
I am proud of our team as we have been working hard.
What is your goal for these National Games?
My goal is to play hard.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I love having fun, playing hard, and being part of the team.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
I would say to come and try a sport or two. You get to make friends and have fun.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I have an amazing family and I have met so many friends since joining Special Olympics.
