When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
In 2012, a friend got me involved.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
No, this will be my second National Games. I competed at the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Vancouver for swimming in 2014.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
My team got Bronze in Prince George. I felt proud of my teammates.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It means gaining new friendships.
What is your goal for these National Games?
My goal is to get to know my team better.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
My favourite experience would be the recent training camp for these upcoming National Games.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I like that I am trying something new. I’ve never played bocce until now.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
It’s a lot of fun. All of the coaches are funny.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I am a fun person to be around.
