When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics? 

I got involved in Special Olympics 17 years ago when I first joined swimming. 

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports? 

This will be my 2nd Canada Games. I was picked for 2018 National Games in Nova Scotia to compete in swimming. It was amazing experience.  

What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance? 

I came home with 4 medals. 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 2 Bronze. I was proud of myself, and beat my personal best. 

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you? 

Being a part of Team BC is so special to me, and so exciting to be picked. 

What is your goal for these National Games? 

To enjoy the experience, do well in my races, and come home with some medals. 

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date? 

2018 National Games in Nova Scotia. 

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games? 

I love swimming and it is good exercise. I look forward to seeing the friends I have met before. 

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved? 

Special Olympics has been such a big part of my life. I have met so many amazing friends and it has been so rewarding to be part of.
