When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

I got involved around 2007. I was introduced to Special Olympics while participating in a BC Government day program.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

No. In 2018, I competed in the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Nova Scotia. I played bocce.

What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I won Gold (in my division). I was surprised and excited about my performance.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?

I am happy to have made the team, and I'm looking forward to competing against other athletes from across Canada.

What is your goal for these National Games?

Do my best and win more medals.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

Travelling to and competing in Nova Scotia.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

Bocce is an easy sport to learn and play. It is also easy to teach other people how to play.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?

Come and try it out. It's a lot of fun.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I like to try to get better at the game, and I am competitive.
