When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
My Mom grew up with a girl with Down syndrome and she was very involved in Special Olympics rhythmic gymnastics!
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
Attended Nationals in Ontario in 2012 for rhythmic gymnastics.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
Results were 2 gold, 1 silver, 1 Bronze and 1 gold overall in my division.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
Special Olympics is everything and everyday conversation and practice for me.
What is your goal for these National Games?
To enjoy myself and do my best!
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
At the Special Olympics BC Summer Games in Prince George, I practiced very hard and got the results I was hoping for. The last provincials I went to I did not work as hard and since then I have really worked hard to practice.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
Love the movement of flowing with the ribbon, and each piece of equipment has different moves.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
Have fun and do your best!
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I am fun, love the variety of all my Special Olympics sports! I love to dance, have fun with friends and family.
