When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I started with basketball in 2011. We heard about Special Olympics from my friend's mom.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
Yes, this is my first Special Olympics Canada Games.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I won a gold medal at the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games!! I was very proud of my performance.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It is a very exciting chance to represent my province nationally. I am also excited to meet Special Olympics athletes from other provinces.
What is your goal for these National Games?
My goal is to represent my province in a positive way and to win a gold medal. Hopefully to get a chance to go to my first World games.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Winning my first gold medal in Powerlifting.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
The best part of Powerlifting is getting to work each week to beat my personal best.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
Special Olympics is inclusive and welcoming. The coaches help you make realistic goals to improve your skills.

I love sports and I am involved in 5 sports with Special Olympics.
