When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I started swimming when I was 13.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
No, I competed for Team BC in swimming in the Vancouver 2014 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games. I won a gold and bronze medal. I also competed in the 2016 and 2020 Canada Winter Games for Team BC in cross country skiing. I won a gold medal at both games.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I won a gold medal in Prince George for 18 hole men's, flight 3. I think I played okay. I tried to be consistent
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It is exciting. It's another chance, if I play well, to make Team Canada.
What is your goal for these National Games?
Play hard and do my best.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Travelling to Newfoundland with Team BC.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
It's up to me to perform and hit good shots. I like the variety – different shots and different courses.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
Come out and try it. It's good exercise and you make good friends.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I'm a big hockey fan. Go Prince George Cougars! I have season tickets and I work for the city after the games. I have a younger sister and brother, two nephews, and a niece.
