When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

I began skiing with Special Olympics when I was about 12 years old.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

No, I have competed in four National competitions and one International competition with Special Olympics. I have competed in skiing, swimming, and cross country. I did downhill skiing at the International competition.

What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I am on a bocce team that placed first in Division One. I was really proud of myself, the team, and the coach.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?

I like my teammates and I am proud to represent BC.

What is your goal for these National Games?

To try my best and win. And to get out there and have fun.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

I had a really good time and experience in Prince George at Provincials.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

I like playing on a team.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?

It is a way to meet new friends, compete, and have fun.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I like biking with my dad. I try hard to be independent. My family always cheers me on. I like to be involved in social situations.
