When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
My parents are involved with Special Olympics, and I joined the Active Start program.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
Yes, it will be my first Canada Games.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I was surprised, happy, and proud that the team made sure the ball stayed out of my goal. We got first place!
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It is a new experience. I'm a little overwhelmed in a good way. It means having good sportsmanship and having fun.
What is your goal for these National Games?
I would like my team to get to the World Games, but if we can't, I want to make new friendships and HAVE FUN.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Training camp for Nationals.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I'm goalie, so I like saving the ball and practicing my kick.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
I would tell them to join and get involved. It's awesome to be part of a great organization, have great experiences, and experience travelling.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I do other sports and I like learning new stuff. I'm a good team player and I joke a lot too!
