When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
Three years ago, I was invited to play Special Olympics golf with some of the people who I played Challengers Baseball with.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
Yes, these will be my first National Games.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I earned a gold medal. There is always room for improvement, but I did pretty well overall.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
That I am part of something bigger then my own performance. That we all work as a team to better ourselves and show others what we can do.
What is your goal for these National Games?
To show off my improved skills and techniques I've learned and maybe even bring home a medal.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I like that it is harder than people think, but when you hit a good shot it feels very rewarding.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
There are many different sports options to choose from, so find one that you like the most and try to get good at it.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I've had 25 surgeries all before I turned 10 years old. I really like helping others achieve their best in whatever they are doing.
