When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
When I moved to the Sunshine Coast, I wanted to swim and was looking for a team.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
This will be my first Nationals. I'm completing in swimming.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I finished 1st and 2nd in my events. I felt I did great.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It feels good and it's so great to be able to be on the team. I have been on two Team BC rosters for Canada Games.
What is your goal for these National Games?
To win and have fun.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Going to Team BC training camp.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I love being in the water and seeing all my friends.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
Just give it a try.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I have been to two Canada Summer games in Niagara and St John's, Newfoundland. I'm a chef and I work for a PJHL team.
