When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I have been involved with Special Olympics for 10 years.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games were you part of and in what role(s)?
This will be my second National Games. I was involved in the 2018 Canada Summer Games in Antigonish, NS.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It's being part of a special group of volunteers and amazing athletes.
What is/are your goal(s) for National Games?
For my athlete to have the best experience as possible.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
I love the opening ceremonies of any Games experience.
What does competing at National Games mean to your athletes? (Or, if this is your first National Games, competition in general)
This will be my athlete's first Nationals, and she is excited to show our country what she is possible of.
What developments are you excited to see in your Team BC sport team leading up to National Games?
How we will come together as a team.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
It will be the most enjoyable experience of your life.
