When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
My mom was a coach and I joined the swim team when I was 13.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
This will be my second time going to Nationals. I will be going for swimming this year
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I placed first in all six of my events, and I feel I did a good job.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
I feel proud to be part of Team BC, and I’m excited for the National Games.
What is your goal for these National Games?
To do the best I can in my events and be chosen for for the World Games in 2027.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Going to Abu Dhabi and representing Canada was an amazing experience.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I feel strong in the water.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
There is no judgment and it gives me a sense of community.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I enjoy reading and going into antique stores. I love cats and I enjoy running.
