When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I was in a recovery group and wanted to do golf. That is how I found out about SO.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
Yes, this will be my first Canada Games.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I finished first in the top division. I felt that I could have done better in the second round.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It is great because I would like to show what people with disabilities can do when we look at our abilities.
What is your goal for these National Games?
Get first and be myself around the people.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I have been golfing all my life and I would love to wear the maple leaf in the future.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
Special Olympics pushes the athletes to be the best.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I am the type of guy that motivates people around me and hates the spotlight because it is a team in all sports. I am the person that will speak up to things that push forward for people that have all kind of disabilities.
