When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
2000 when I saw them swimming at the pool.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
I competed in Brandon Manitoba, London Ontario, Vancouver BC, and Medicine Hat Alberta. All in swimming.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
5 out of my 6 races were Medals. I felt I tried my best.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It is an inclusive environment where I am able to complete.
What is your goal for these National Games?
To get personal best in my swimming.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Going to the 2007 Special Olympics World Games in Shanghai, China for Swimming.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
Swimming is relaxing for me.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
It is fun and you get to travel and make friends.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
This is my 4th National Games for swimming.
