When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I have been involved with Special Olympics since 2014. Mostly with softball, but since then, I've been involved in several other Special Olympics sports.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
I competed at 2018 the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games for softball with the Vancouver team in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
Our team finished with Gold in our division. I felt very happy and had three home runs.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It means being part of a larger family within Special Olympics.
What is your goal for these National Games?
Do the best we can and hopefully win Gold again.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
I love it when I or my teammates have a home run. We celebrate each one.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I like the high intensity of play and our competitive and strong team spirit.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
It is a great community to meet new friends and be part of larger family. The sports are competitive.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I am very social, easy going, I like being with people, and I like excitement. I like cheering on my teammates. I am caring and passionate.
