When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I got involved in 1993 for 5 pin bowling.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
No. I competed in 2016 for curling in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, and in 2014 for 5 pin bowling in Vancouver, BC.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I earned 3 Gold and 1 Bronze. I felt very good!
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It is a very good feeling, and I'm proud to represent BC and Quesnel.
What is your goal for these National Games?
To beat my personal best! And to make new friends!
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Getting Gold medal for curling in Corner Brook and my Mom and three other Quesnel supporters cheering us on.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I like the running events.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
It's a lot of fun and you won't regret it.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I have been working at Granville's in Quesnel for 24 years.
