When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
When I was 16 years old, a friend told me and family about it.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
It's not. My first one was London, Ontario. I have also competed at the National Games in Vancouver, BC and Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
My result were good. I felt good about my scores, and there's room to improve.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
Being part of Team BC means to me pride, meeting new friends, seeing old friends, and hope for what comes next.
What is your goal for these National Games?
Doing my best at my competition.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
The Prince George Summer Games were my favorite. I loved having family come watch.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I like the different music and seeing old friends.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
It's fun, entertaining, and it makes everyone feel included.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I do crochet and I do some cross stitching.
