When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

Around 2002, in the swim program.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

Rhythmic Gymnastics: London, ON; Vancouver, BC; Antigonish, NS

What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?

London – no medals. Vancouver 1st , Antigonish 1st. I was very proud.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?

New experiences, pride in what I have accomplished and doing my best.

What is your goal for these National Games?

To medal in some of my events.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

Going to Antigonish, NS in 2018 and doing very well in rhythmic gymnastics – I am proud of that.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

Level 4 in rhythmic gymnastics lets me do my own routines to my own choice of music. There is lots of variety in rhythmic gymnastics.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?

There are lots of different sports to choose from – try a few to see what you like to do.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I am outgoing and easy to make friends with. I enjoy doing public speaking for Special Olympics and the Down Syndrome Resource Foundation.
