When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

2018-2019 fall/winter season a best friend of mine Taylor Bennett from middle and high school said I qualify and should get involved

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

Yes this will be my 1st National Games representing team BC in 10 pin bowling

What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I received silver for singles a silver for team and a bronze for doubles. I was happy to earn 3 medals for I tried my best and had a blast as it was my 1st Provincials as well

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?

I was surprised to be picked to showcase my ability and join team BC to represent what Kelowna has to offer and see what can be achieved individually and as a team I am sure we will all make our respective cities very proud of us all

What is your goal for these National Games?

To have fun continue making new friends and maybe bring home a couple more medals to add to my bedroom wall shrine

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

All the times that I have participated in Motionball events either at City Park or UBCO and volunteering for special events to be an athlete ambassador either there to share stories or help recruit donations

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

When I slow down and breathe I can get a strike or spare

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?

If you have the time it is a very meaningful thing to volunteer and help enrich the lives of people with diverse disabilities

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I sing in a choir have danced jazz, tap, ballet and hip hop for many years and in my spare time I love my naps
