When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I got involved with Special Olympics in 2014, first in swimming and then rhythmic gymnastics and bocce.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
This will be my first National games.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
In rhythmic gymnastics, I received a gold for level 1 rope, ball, and hoop. I received a silver in all around. I feel that I did a great job.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
I am proud to be chosen and represent BC and be a part of the team.
What is your goal for these National Games?
To do my best and hopefully get a medal. To enjoy the experience as it’s my first time at Nationals.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Going to Provincials with my team-mates and coaches from my local.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I like the performance aspect of rhythmic gymnastics and using the variety of apparatuses.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
That there are a variety of sports you can try, based on your interest and ability.
