When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
16 years ago, I started playing basketball in Prince George.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
These will be my first National Games.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
We finished second to Richmond, winning the Silver. It was a tough loss, but it felt good to finish with a medal. I enjoyed the whole experience of the games. I loved meeting new people and having fun.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
This is a completely new experience for me. Being part of team means meeting new friends from other areas.
What is your goal for these National Games?
I would love to win and go on to the World Games. But also, I want to be having fun and enjoying the experience.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Playing in the March Madness tournament in the North Shore.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I just love playing basketball. I like to travel with my team to competitions.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
Come out and try playing one of the sports. Its fun. You might get to travel, meet new people, and make new friends.
