My family has been involved with Special Olympics for many years as volunteers, and I have personally been involved for 8 years.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

Yes, this will be my first Special Olympics Canada Games.

What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?

In the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games, we won a Gold medal in bocce. I was very happy with my performance and my teammates. It gave me more confidence.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?

It means I get to meet other athletes and compete against others. I also get to meet new friends and have fun and feel enjoyment.

What is your goal for these National Games?

My goal is to go there and compete fairly, meet new friends, do my best, and be a true sportsman.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

The BC Provincial games in 2025 that were held in Prince George was my favourite Special Olympics experience. The entire experience was fun and exciting, from the competitions to the social events.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

Bocce is a game of strategy that you can play just about anywhere. It is fun and enjoyable.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?

It is a good place to make friends. People are there to help out and it is welcoming.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I am a young man who wants to and enjoys making new best friends. I like to encourage and cheer others on. I am very excited to be part of the Special Olympics National Games. I participate in Special Olympics 5 pin bowling, basketball and I want to try snowshoeing.
