When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
In 1991, a teacher introduced me to Special Olympics.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
In 2002, I went to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. In 2010, I went to London, Ontario. I competed in soccer for both events.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I got a Gold medal in soccer. I feel great about my performance.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
I feel honoured and privileged to be part of Team BC.
What is your goal for these National Games?
To have fun, try my best, and of course hopefully win a Gold medal and move on to the World Games next year.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Representing Canada for the first time in 2011 at the World Games in Greece.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I like having fun.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
It’s a great place to meet new friends and to be able to compete in non-generic sports that you might not be able to otherwise.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I am very excited to be competing in my third National Games. In my off time, I love hanging out with friends and working on puzzles and diamonds paintings.
