I was invited by a parent involved in Special Olympics.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
A chance to help bring the best SOBC Team 2026 to the National Games in Medicine Hat.
What is/are your goal(s) for National Games?
For my athlete/son Hayden to experience his sport at a high level, as well as meeting other athletes and coaches from all over Canada
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Watching my son play golf in Prince George and winning a gold medal! 🥇
What does competing at National Games mean to your athletes? (Or, if this is your first National Games, competition in general)
To increase Hayden’s ability, confidence, sportsmanship, integrity, and how to build a great SOBC Team 2026
What developments are you excited to see in your Team BC sport team leading up to National Games?
Increased fitness, nutritional health, and his ability in his golf game.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
It’ll change your attitude towards the athletes, coaches, and support staff. It is so fun it is to volunteer and help in a variety of ways.
