My first National Games for soccer was in 2006 in Brandon, Manitoba. I also competed at the National Games in 2010 for track and field in London, Ontario.
What were your results in the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games? How did you feel about your performance?
I did some assessments of my performance. I thought I did okay.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
I am so excited to represent BC on our first ever all women's team. Go Team BC go!

Winning a Gold medal in Shanghai, China with an all men’s soccer team, and winning Bronze for Team Canada's first all women’s soccer team in Berlin, Germany.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I love the game. I love how it’s a team game.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
Once you go to one practice, I can guarantee that you will want to go back. The coaches, the athletes, and the whole atmosphere all are just so welcoming and just plain old fun.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I absolutely love to draw. I have a great family and my dog is the best. I love to make people smile and happy by giving them a drawing. I have played soccer since I was 6. My dad was my coach. So in total, I have played for 38 years. I have run 5 half marathons on my own. I coach U6 kids who are learning to play soccer.
